Monthly Soundtrack: September

Monthly Soundtrack: September

Well hello there you lovely lot, long time no monthly soundtrack! In case you missed my countless IG stories or photos from the day (oops) or my last blog post, then I turned 21 in the month of September and instead of giving you lovely lot the monthly music round-up from August, I gave you a lil rundown of my life (so far) in music!

So with that, September. Apart from my birthday it’s been a month of transitioning. From summer to autumn, Waitrose to uni, second year student to third year and so on and so forth and you know that Connor and I have been listening to a bunch of songs and albums.

Now you might be wondering what a Taylor Swift song is doing in this month’s playlist because over on twitter I’d made my feelings veeeeeeeery clear. But do you know what? I bloody love it. I think it’s largely been helped by this video that I find myself recreating in my head as I’m walking to uni but as much as I hate to admit it, well done Tay.

As for my top picks from the month, I’ve fallen slightly in love with Pale Waves (can we just talk about how fab Heather – the lead singer – looks). If you’re a fan of Fickle Friends-meets-The 1975 then please please please put them on your radar. My K-Pop loving hearting is alive again with new BTS tunes and well…. Wham!….who doesn’t love them.

One highlight from Connor’s picks would be the oh-so-fabulous Yonaka. Their new EP is out **today** (fabulous timing from me there) which Connor got to work on and well, they’re just fab, seriously fab. A mix of rock, metal, pop and hip-hop you NEED to give them a listen.

Television Romance – Pale Waves

Too Good At Goodbyes – Sam Smith

Homemade Dynamite (REMIX) – Lorde ft. Khalid, Post Malone & SZA)

Look What You Made Me Do – Taylor Swift

Everything She Wants – Wham!

Bubblegum – Yonaka

Kicks – Barns Courtney

Play – Marmozets

In Bloom – Neck Deep

Sign On A Hurricane – Himalayas

Backroads (Redux) – Lonely The Brave

As always you can check out our picks from the past month (and the rest of the year) over on Spotify or up there at the top of the post! I’ve been craving a gig vibe lately and I’m on the hunt for new music so if you have any suggestions then either write them down below or drop me a tweet! Until next month loves x
